Brenda Stevens
Brenda Stevens has been dedicated to teaching and supporting individuals who are blind and visually impaired since 1998. She began her career as an itinerant teacher for the visually impaired in a large city from 1998 to 2000 before transitioning to a state school for the visually impaired in Missouri. In 2005, she moved to North Carolina, where she worked in the Piedmont region until 2022. Currently, she teaches part-time in the western region of the state.
With years of experience in education, Brenda’s passion now lies in developing materials for blind and visually impaired children ages three through eight. Her work focuses on promoting inclusion, fostering concept development, encouraging a love for reading, and supporting early independence. Through her innovative resources, she aims to create meaningful learning experiences that empower young learners with visual impairments.
